STALLING ON ACCELERATION

I've just bought a 97 Festiva 1.3L fuel injected, it stalls on acceleration (only accelerating from standing), it hasn't been serviced in a long time so could be a lot of issues.

- Starts fine, idles fine
- the warmer the engine gets, the more it stalls when accelerating from standing (i.E. Runs better cold)
- Drives fine when rpm is up, but splutters in lower rpm when accelerating

I was thinking a fuel issue, maybe injectors clogged, fuel filter clogged, hopefully not fuel pump?

Am I right in guessing its fuel? I'm more of a carby man than efi, so don't know a lot about oxygen sensors, cat converter etc.

Thanks!

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay-test the MAF and TPS sensors
