I have been having problems with my truck (1997 Silverado Z71, 5.7) for a few years. Sometimes it just won't start! The first mechanic I took it to changed out the fuel pump, even though I told him I could hear it running and smell gas. The 2nd checked every possible thing he could think of and ended up replacing the injectors. This seemed to help, but after about 3 months I hopped in and turned it over and it wouldn't start again.
Just changed plugs and they were soaked with fuel. (Could this be part of the problem?)
When it does this I can crank it over, hear the fuel pump, and SOMETIMES it will eventually start, but when it won't it takes 2 to 3 days before it will start again. Please help.
have the same problem?
