I changed out my battery and it reset the alarm. Now every time I open my door the alarm goes off unless I use my key in the ignition. How do I turn the alarm off?

Did you try unlocking the passenger door to test if the alarm is turned off?
A bad switch at driver door can allow you to open the door without disarming the alarm and would go off until you use your key in ignition.

this guide will help you.

Ignition shorted out. Replaced the steering column hooked everything back up and now the anti theft alarm is going off and shutting down the engine.

1. Didnt know it had an anti theft system
2. The key does not have a chip
3. NO power locks on the doors

Can I disable the anti theft?

Can I reset the anti theft by turning the key to a certain position.
