96 grand am 3.1 6 cyl, coolant dripping under tension pulley, looked at motor at every possible no visable hoses leaking, looked at gm 's part list and it shows a bypass hose somewhere behind the altenater, I looked and looked couldnt see any thing, cant even see the end of the heater core hose to see where it connects is it somewhere behind the alt., I just put a jar of bars stop leak in, I figured if its somekind of hidden bypass hose the stop leak wont work, if its a intake manifold gasket it should slow down.

Have coolant system checked for leaks, it may be an inlet gasket or head gasket
