I have a 96 Pontiac Bonneville that likes to either not idle enough to keep running, idle anywhere from 2000 rpms to 4000 rpms, or cut off while driving. The mass air sensor was busted so I replaced that, but my car still runs as before. It used to always idle and run at 1000 rpms. Someone told me that the 1000 rpms isnt what it should be idling or running at. I would like to know the proper rpms that it should run and idle at. Thank you and God Bless. Happy Thanksgiving

Do you
have the same problem?

The vehicle should run at 800rpm, you most likely have a bad throttle position sensor, or a crankshaft sensor. Or both.
