So I have a 1996 ford probe gt< with the 2.5 24valve dohc> I am pretty well boggled by this car. I have fuel, the brand new plugs are wet. I have spark from the distibutor, pulled cap, and rotor spins, and sparks. I have spark at the end of the ignition wires. Car has compression, turns over, and just wines. Will not fire. I have tried loosening the distributor, and turning it while someone turned the ignition, in hopes that we could atleast get it to studder if the timing was completely off key. I have flipped the fuel cut off reset in the trunk. I have put a missing start relay in main fuse box. Still nothing. Im really confused cause the guy I bought the car from had told me that the cma bearings were bad, and that the head was seized. However both cam pulleys turn with the timing belt. And heres the real kicker. It seems as if the car is blowing exhaust out of the air intake rather than the exhaust pipe. Im lost. About to chop the exhaust off in hopes that the cat is just so clogged that it may be sending exhaust back into the intake because of the integrated exhaust system on this car. Some PLEASE HELP?
