While changing the battery ( under the windshield washer fluid reservoir, bad engineering ), I discovered a vacuum line in that area.

It was broken, probably damaged by battery acid.

I have not been able to find where it went?

The few diagrams I have found on the internet have not helped.

Is it possible it goes to the vacuum reservoir? Is the reservoir hidden somewhere tin the front drivers side of the car? Maybe up under the grill, bumper or fender?

I purchased 6' of rubber vacuum hose ( the original hose is hard black plastic ), slipped one on the end of the remaining original hose and plugged the other end of the rubber hose. This temporialy stops the vacuum leak.

Thanks,
God bless
