You would need to remove the transmission and the procedures are not easy for DIY. Unless you have a hoist, if not, it wuold be really difficult to handle this job.

When I turn the steering wheel left r right it makes a screeching sound like stepping
On an old wooden step, steering is good n no power steering leaks

Sounds like its comin frum the rack and pinion I think after it rains the sound is more prevalent

Such noises are usually from dried out ball joints. Check the upper and lower arms joints and steering tie-rod rack ends etc for torn boots.
