I run the engine for about fifteen minutes, your cooling fans should start kicking in as needed. If they're not, the engine will eventually start to overheat so you should keep an eye on the coolant temperature gauge while the engine is idling. If they're not turning on, it could be due to a number of reasons so you'll need to start doing some testing.
