Is there a trick to reseating a tensioner assembly on a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville SE, 3800 engine? I removed the old and purchased a new, but the water pump inlet simply will not go IN to the water pump. On the first one I bought, I actually tore the pot metal casing by trying to alternately tighten the main mounting bolts on the tensioner. I bought a second, and it also will not fit. Is there a trick to getting that fitting into the pump housing?
