The truck had an ignition fire. The entire dash, steering column, and all the wiring attached to the steering column was replaced. The truck starts and seems to run fine, but the brake lights are stuck on. The shop where we took it is at a loss. They think possibly that the dash and steering column came out of a different year truck and maybe it needs a different computer they mentioned something in the computer might be feeding the brake lights making them stay on. Do you have any ideas why the brake lights might be staying on.

Thanks
Sean Taylor

Thank you for your quick response, we will try that. So you don't think it would have any thing to do with the computer

If the high mount is also coming On-check the brake switch if not and its only the bottom lights-have the turn and hazard switch checked and tested-Its got nothing to do with the computer-
