I bumped a car in front of me slightly which apparently loosened the left front blinker lamp enclosure which fell out the next day, dangling by its wiring, and hit against the side of the car a few times before I realized it. When I tried the blinker it blinked rapidly and you can hear the flasher under the dask clicking rapidly. The bulb is fine, so I wondered what the likely issue is?

Check for a broken wire or if the bulb is loose in the socket. The rapid flashing is the indicator that there is a break in the circuit.
