OVERHEATING OF ENGINE

My wife's Nissan Primiera overheated excessively while driving and the engine went off. When the cylinder head was opened to change the head gasket, it was found out that a part of the top of one piston had broken off. Can the engine be repaired or has to be replaced or can that particular piston be replaced. It was later found out that the radiator was not working well.

If there's no damage to that cylinder -it can be done by replacing that particular piston-
