My 1994 Lexus ES300 (3.0L V-6) will not start. It is getting gas fine. I checked the sparks on the front 3 cylinders and found that one did not fire at all, while one seemed weak, and the other normal. I have been told that this could be the ignitor, but thought that I would check with someone who is not trying to sell me a $600 part. Also, I could not effectively check the sparks on the back side of the engine because I would have to take the intake manifold and ignitor (among other things) to do that. My question is, could the ignitor be bad and yet still get sparks to some cylinders? Also, I checked the sparks using a spark testing tool and noticed that the sparks were yellowish, shouldn't the be blue if they are the right strength.
