I have not started my truck in 11 days, the battery was dead so I jumped it, I took it around the block to charge the battery. I went out the next morning and the battery was dead as a doornail. There is nothing that was turned on, no light, I turn off the brights, the radio was turned off when I shut it off. I have been told to unhook the positive side of the battery, if it is still dead, it's the alternator? Is that correct information? If not what do I do?

You need to make sure the battery has a full charge. The generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts. Use digital multimeter, leads across battery posts, everything off. Battery connections all clean and tight? Check charging system.
