Engine swap

I have a 1993 f150 4x2 with a 5.0 lte firing order is 15426378 we pulled this engine and have a 5.0 lte from a 1994 f150 they changed the firing order on this engine it is 13726548 if I change the plug wire with the correct ones willthis engine work in my 1993 f150 or do I have to change anything else, thanks lyle

First, we only recommend direct fit parts. However, you need to follow the new engine's firing order. The computer doesn't know which cylinder is firing. IT only knows which wire to send the spark to. You will need to do the same with the injectors too.

We had to change the cams, we put the cam from the 1993 into the 1994 engine runs perfect, this is the only way we could make it run, thanks for your help

That is good info to have. Glad you figured it out. I'm suprised the cams were interchangeable considering their differences. The cam lobe location will definatly cause an issue with the timing.
