Hi, the engine turns over normally but does not fire. There does not seem to be a spark and when I remove a plug it seems dry no sign of petrol. How do I diagnose please? I was a mechanic but never had much to do with modern engines EFI etc.
Thanks Bill

I would suggest is replacing the crank position sensor which go out all the time. Here are two guides that will help you see what you are in for when doing the job:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/crankshaft-angle-sensor-replacement

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

When the crank sensor goes out you will lose ignition spark and injector pulse.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers

Start by checking for spark and fuel: https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start
