I have a 92 Corolla that I just recently purchased that is having some major issues. I am writing this to see if you would have any clue as to what it could be. Here's the scenario: A couple of weeks ago I stopped at the gas station and put a can of Seafoam in my gas tank before filling up, or what I thought was the gas tank. I didn't have a funnel with me so I got it as close to the filler hole and thought it went down. Then proceeded to fill the gas tank like normal. After about a day or two the car would stutter severely while hard acceleration from 0-60 and would want to constantly die/choke out on me. If I accelerated slowly it did not mater as much. After many hours scouring the internet and some new parts (fuel filter, cap/wires, rotor, and plugs) I have seen no improvement. The only sites that have peaked my interest have been the ones on accidentally flooding the vapor canister. I have heard nothing good about that procedure or price. Having looked at a few sites I tried driving with the gas cap off and that seemed to to the trick! Is this normal?
have the same problem?
