NO4 cylinder in my 1992 suzuki swift gti has deep grooves in it. What could have cause it? Can I re-sleeve it or do I have to re-bore it? If I re-bore

The car burst the timing belt and seemed to have bent a valve upon taking off the head the grooves were discovered.
