I think on your vehicle, the voltage regulator is a part of the alternator (on older stuff was a separate unit)
I'd go with checking your fusible links, fuses, and connections. EZist thing to do 1st!
And of course, like I exclaim here a lot, "EVEN NEW STUFF CAN BE BAD!". On car or pull Mr. Alternator once again, for testing!
