1991 Nissan D21 truck is sometimes reluctant to start, but will start eventually. When I turn the ignition key, there is silence, no clicking or starter turning, etc. What is going on?

Does it crank? Did not see much of an explanation. Is it ok if you get it started?

It doesn't crank while trying to start. When it does start, it runs great. This problem doesn't occur everytime I try to start the truck.

When it does not crank, check and see if you have power to the little wire at the starter motor. If you do, the starter is bad. If not, start at the ignition switch for power.
