My 1991 Mercedes V8 has a surge in it while lightly accelerating and decelerating between 1400rpm and 2000rpm. I tend to think it might be a vacuum leak since my cruise control disengages at the first hint of a hill or slope. The engine idles very smooth and have not been able to detect a leak as idle. Wonder also if I might have a leak in the cruise control diaphragm.
