Working on a 1991 ford ranger with a 2.3 liter engine. Can find marks on cam shaft and also crank shaft, can also find timing mark on balance shaft sprocket. But can not find balance shaft mark on engine. Do you have any idea where it might be located?

You need to put engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke/TDC and then align cam and crank to its markings
