ENGINE BOGS DOWN WHEN I GIVE IT GAS.

Tapping into the mechanic knowledge base. Truck runs smoothly at low RPM. As I add more throttle, the engine bogs down big time. I checked the fuel pump and it appears to be pumping plenty of fuel. I changed the fuel filter. I observed the exhaust pipe when I had my wife floor the running engine, and it appeared as though there was some unburned fule coming out the exhaust. Any ideas?
