To reconnect the wiring harness for injectors, is the color code on the harness all that important?

Ive replaced the head gasket, head with new valves, water pump, thermostat, etc. But now putting everything back together qnd see that the wiring harness for the injectors has 3 different colors for the 4 connections in the pigtail. The 1st two are grey, 3rd is light yellow, 4th is black. Ive not noticed if injectors are colored in the same manner. Should the four injectors be reconnected simply according to position in the wiring harness or should the injectors be colored in the same order?
Thank you for the help.

The injectors arent going to be color coded lay the harness out along the injectors and plug them in where the connectors reach to each injector. Thats how I would do it.

Our diagram shows whte red, white blue, white black and white for color codes i'll send that along. Each one goes to a different cylinder. Due to age teh colors may be hard to distinguish
