My 1990 honda civic has absolutely no power on the low end but once I accelerate and finally get the rpms up to about 2500 it runs fine until it drops below 2500 rpms. Any suggestions?

You can rent a gauge at an auto parts store most of the time otherwise a pro has to do it

Ok I had it checked and the mechanic said the pressure was fine and it idles and in park will have good throttle response. Until I put it into gear then it bogs right down. What would cause that any ideas?

Did you scan for codes? Also check intake vacuum and if 15" or under suspect a clogged converter.
