1990 GMC Jimmy dies when turning corners

This issue just started 2 days ago. This doiesn't happen everytime either. When I make a turn in either direction, the truck just dies. There is no hesitation at all, nor does it matter if I am at a dead stop or rolling. If I start out and have to turn, it dies. This will happen in either forward or back (pulling out of a parking spot). And it only happens at an idle setting. It doesn't happen when I am going straight. I have even tried slamming on my brakes to see if it dies. Again, it only happens when I am turning; like a mercury switch tilting. When it first started, I thought maybe it was the gas level in the tank so I filled it up. It still does this. I have checked all electrical connectors, vacuum lines and some voltages. I have not checked fuel pressure, but I can hear the pump run when I turn the key on and when it does die, I get a slight gas smell from under the hood. Everytime (knock on wood) I just put it in neutral and it cranks right back up.
Do you
have the same problem?
