Have a 1990 chevy s10 that squeaks/chirps a lot. Does it when idling as well as running. Seems to worsen in the cold, but doesn't always squeak. Can't figure out what causes the inconsistencies. Already replaced the idler pullies, but no change. Typically goes away/lessens after truck warms up and is driven for a while.

Sprinkle a little water on the serpentine belt. If the noise changes, look for a pulley out of alignment by as little as 1/16".
