PLEASE HELP! Just purchased a 89 Corolla wagon with 116,000 miles. It ran perfectly fine when cold however when warmed up the idle was extremely rough and felt like it was going to die out (misfire?) But after a while returned to normal, the rough again. Later that night I started the car up to see if it would still iodle rough and everything was fine (it was cold) but the check engine light came on. I turned the car off and on again and check engine light went away. This is extremely fustrating. Does the vehicle just need a tune up or does it sound like something major i.E. Idle control valve, vacume leak e.T.C. Any information would be greatly appreicated. Thanks.
