I'm having an issue with my battery holding charge. If I run with no lights, radio, etc. I can last about a day before having to trickle charge over night. A few days ago I took the battery out and had it tested. It passed. So I replaced the alternator(w/o testing the old) and after installation I turned the ignition and a faint puff of smoke arose from the new alternator. I restarted the car and it seemed all clear. On a quick trip to the gas station tonight everything faded out and the car died again. Same story, new day/parts. Anyway, i'm wondering if it was the alternator at all? Fuse? Wiring? Battery? Something? Help?
