I was leaking fluids and my exhaust was shooting out white smoke. I recently took my car for a diagnostics and was told I had a blown head gasket, needed a new water pump, timing belt and thermostat. I took it to a guy who did all the work, but I got my car back with my engine light on, idle is way high, its still shooting out white smoke (more than before), and now my car kinda "jumps" when I drive it. Like a misfire or something. I got new spark plug cables but that didnt fix the jump. The mechanic says I have a 90 day warranty and he'll fix the problem. I guess my question is, what could be wrong at this point, as it wasnt doing any "jumping" before I took it to him and idle wasnt that high. Also, can I lower the idle myself in the meantime before taking it back to him?
