I have a 88 5.7L automatic chevy truck. When I would come to a stop the truck would die. It would start up but took a little longer to do so. I parked it for a couple hours and after that it wouldn't start. There was no gas spraying through the injectors(which are fairly new). Do you think it is the fuel pump?

Do you
have the same problem?

How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any applicable mil codes? Have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. When you first turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run for a few seconds?
