My 1987 Mercedes Benz 300E Manual struggle to start when warm, fuel consumption and performance fine. Its got 100 000 miles on it and is stock standard, sometimes after I've filled the tank it also feels like it is not running on all its cylinders and runs very******. When cold it usely starts very easy but warm it feels like it is flooding and start only by pressing the accelerator at least halfway in.

Check plugs and compressions, ensure valve clearances are correct, you will need a special tool to adjust these tappets.
