My car has a vibration that sounds and feels like a cellphone vibrating. It usually happens after 5-6 miles of driving from 55-65 mph. After a few miles, my car also begins to lose power. A couple of times, I smelled smoke after stop-and-go traffic; it smelled like burning plastic. My mechanics have misdiagnosed it as sticking calipers, differential/u-joints, and carburetor/timing. My guess is the torque converter. What do you think it is? How much labor is involved?
