'87 Chevy Blazer s10 2.8 V6 won't start. First on accelleration, it seemed bogged down, took it in. Was told it was the EGR Valve, had it disconnected. Drove better, big difference. Next day, engine light came on when on highway. Assumed it was EGR Valve. Drove fine, light turned off. Next day, almost stalled out when accelerating from stop, happened again couple hours later and backfired, rode kinda rough after. Same afternoon, stalled after idling in park when put into drive. Parked it, wouldn't start next morning. Cranks but won't turn over. It has fuel, too much, flooding. Plugs are soaked. Has spark. Took it apart, timing chain good. All filters, wires and plugs new.
Any suggestions?

Check the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester to rule out the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator and leaky injectors

Check your dist cap and rotor, it sounds as if there is no spark. Drain theoil an dput in new if you have soaked plugs. You might have a bad pickup coil or ecm unit in the dist.

Thanks for the replies, we'll check those out.
I have a correction though, it DOES turn over, doesn't fire.

Check what's missing fuel or spark. Do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine at least 3/16 away from ground -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, Do you hear the fuel pump come On when you turn key on? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay if so, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
