I had to replace my ignition switch in my 86 lsc. I got the new switch plugged the electrical connector in and when I lined the metal peg up with switch it started to smoke(the key was in the ignition and it was turned on). I disconnected everything as fast as I could, and put old switch back in. I tried to start the car and I got nothing, no dash lights thats radio, clock, climate control. Cant hear fuel pump either. My? Is what could have fried along with the brand new ignition switch?

Do you
have the same problem?
