Im starting to understand what each wire coming off of the solenoid do. Tomorrow, I will look deeper into it. 5 and 6 could be switched. I do not know. Will look into it tomorrow. If I jump between "A" and "C", what voltage should I have on "D" and/or "B"?

I enjoyed looking at the album you emailed me. If you have more, send them on over. Defiantly interesting.

DOES CLICKING ON MY NAME/AVATAR DO ANYTHING?

IF YOU ARE HOOKED UP "MY WAY", NOT MY WIRE DIAGRAM WAY

JUMP BETWEEN "A" AND "C", VOLTAGE?

IF ALL WIRES CONNECTED---TOUCH "A" TO "C" WITH WIRE OR SCREWDRIVER ACTIVATES SOLENOID (TURNS STARTER!)

"A" TO GROUND BATTERY VOLTAGE (12 V)

"C" TO GROUND----NUTHIN'!

"B" TO GRD----NUTHIN'

"D" TO GRD----NUTHIN'

A>C = "B" TO GRD. AND."D" TO GRDBOTH WILL HAVE BATTERY VOLTAGE (12 V)

JUST GET ONE ALBUM? WHICH ONE?

I bypassed the ignition and installed a momentarily push button switch. When I hit the button, the fan in the front of the jeep starts to spend. Where do I go from here?

I got my 7 volts to the coil! Poured some gas in the carb and it started! Quickly burned up the gas in the carb then died. But we're in business! Wooohoooooo!

Is there a way that I could install a kill switch? The engine stays running until it burns the gas in the carb. The other day I had good flow to the fuel filter so I think Im getting good gas. But I want to be able to shut off the jeep. Any suggestions?

EXPLAIN FAN---LOST ME?---FAN IS NORMALLY MECHANICAL FROM WATER PUMP (LESS HEARTACHES) SOME DINGLE. BERRY PUT AN ELECTRIC ONE ON?

GOOD DEAL ON COMBUSTION!

MAKE SURE YOU GOT COOLANT AND OIL BEFORE EXTENDED RUNNING---IF FAN/ TEMP IS STILL AN ISSUE---SHUT IT DOWN AFTER YOU ACHIEVE OPERATING TEMP, AND IT WANTS TO OVER HEAT

JU GET THE 12V BOOST FROM "I" WHEN IT WAS TURNING OVER?

Ignore the comment about the fan.I sent that question before I decided to pour gas in the carb. I'm running up to discount to grab some new cable terminals to re attach the cable from the battery to "d" I think. (Output side on solenoid).
I did get my 12v boost when turning over.

KILL SWITCH?

KEY IN "OFF" POSITION WON'T DO IT?

IF NOT, SOMEHOW YOU ARE PERMANENTLY GETTING 12V FROM BATT/ ALTERNATOR TO THE COIL'S FEED. FIND THAT. DISCONNECT/ INSTALL SWITCH THERE

WIRE DIAGRAMS I SENT SHOULD SHOW YOU HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE---KEEP IT NEAR THAT WAY AS YOU CAN (LESS CONFUSING)

IF YOUR KEY DOES WORK--YOU CAN BY-PASS IT UNDER THE HOOD (FOR PLAYING AROUND), LIKE THISKEY OFF (IN NEUTRAL, CHOCKED) POSITIVE BATTERY TO POSITIVE COIL (A JUMPER WIRE). START USING REMOTE

THIS METHOD WORKS, TILL YOU DISCONNECT IT (KEY IS OFF, NO BEARING ON THIS)

THIS DOES NOT NEED TO BE PERMANENT, VOLTAGE IS 12 (OK FOR NOW), WHEN YOU ARE DONE PLAYIN', IT NEEDS TO BE REDUCED, VIA THE RESISTANCE WIRE (ON THE WAY FROM "KEY ON", THE ORIGINAL SET UP) CONSTANT LOWER VOLTAGE KEEPS FROM MESSING UP THE IGN MODULE

Ok. Update: The engine is running but for only as long as I put gas directly in the carb. Need help getting gas to the carb by itself.

I'M GONNA TRY TO SHOW YOU THE CORRECT SET UP---SO THAT YOU HAVE NOT GOT ANY COMPOUNDING ISSUES LATER!

TAKE THE FUEL LINE LOOSE ANYWHERE BETWEEN THE FUEL PUMP AND CARB

THIS SHOULD BE A MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP---A ELECTRIC ONE IS PROBABLY TOO STRONG! (EXPERIENCE W/ OTHER FOLKS)

TURN ENGINE OVER---DO YOU HAVE SOME FUEL PULSING OUT--HEAVY SPURTS? (MECHANICAL PUMP)

WE WILL WORRY ABOUT PRESSURE, LATER IF NEED-BE

RESPOND WITH REAL DEAL AS YOU HAVE IN FRONT OF YOU

AFTER YOU RESPOND--GIVE ME TIME TO SHOW YOU WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE--WILL TAKE A BIT---I'M SLOW

Sorry! I'm just excited about my jeep. Haha

Let me tell you what I've done and you can tell me if I went a wrong direction or not. I had to pack things up due to a wedding I have to go to :(

Last time when I tried to pull start the jeep, I removed the fuel line from the fuel filter and had brown nasty gas pouring out then after a few minutes of that, good colored gas came out. Now that I have good spark, I can't get fuel. I thought it was maybe my fuel pump si I removed that and expected gas to flow out of the fuel line but not
hing. So I am assuming that I have something clogged in the fuel line possibly?

But to answer your question.I did not have fuel spurting out of my fuel lines. Is there a way to figure out if my fuel lines are clogged?

FUEL DOES GRAVITY FLOW FROM THE TANK, THE PUMP SUCKS IT OUT!

THE SPURTING FUEL WILL BE WHILE THE ENGINE IS TURNING OVER. TAKE THE OUTPUT SIDE LOOSE. LEAVE IT HOOKED TO THE TANK!

POSSIBILITIES FOR NO FUEL

BAD PUMP
HOLE IN LINE TO THE TANK (S. UCKIG AIR)
TANK PICKUP TUBE PROBLEM

YOU CAN ELIMINATE THE PUMP HAVING PROBLEMS BY HOOKING THE PUMPS INLET TO A TEMPORARY FUEL LINE, STICK IT INTO A TEMPORARY FUEL CAN, SEE IF IT WILL DRAW FUEL FROM THAT

IF THE PUMP IS REAL OLD OR NOT WORKING, A NEW ONE IS ONLY $15-$25! (PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE)

HOW OLD IS YOUR FUEL? OVER A YEAR, I MIGHT NEED TO TELL YOU HOW TO GET RID OF IT

YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO REPLACE YOUR NEW FUEL FILTER AFTER 1000 MILES, IF IT'S GETTING A LOT OF CRAP IN ITMAYBE EVEN BEFORE THAT! I RECOMMEND YOU KEEP A SPARE FILTER, IN HIM (GLOVE BOX) JUST IN CASE IT RESTRICTS FASTER THAN WE THINK, WAY DOWN THE ROAD! BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY!

CAN YOU TELL THAT I LIKE JEEPS? DOES IT SORTA FAINTLY SHOW?

I believe the pump is still good because it was pumping gas good last week. And now that we have the engine running, we cant get it to pump gas. Should I be able to blow air through my fuel line going to my tank? Is there a check valve in my fuel line?

HAD THOSE ON A TAB WAITING TO SUBMIT

YAHOO AIN'T DOIN' SO WELL, NOT GETTING SOME EMAILS, CANNOT SEND ANY

THERE ARE 2 CHECK VALVES FOR THE TANK, BOTH ARE BEHIND THE DRIVERS REAR WHEEL, UP IN THE FENDER, ONE IS A "ROLLOVER CHECK" THE OTHER IS A "LIQUID CHECK"

DON'T MESS WITH THEM, IF THEY SEEM "UNMESSED WITH"!

BOTH ARE ON THE VENT---THE GARDEN HOSE COLORED PIPE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, COMING FROM BELOW THE FIREWALL, UNDER THE DRIVER'S FEET (PAN) THIS LINE GOES TO THE CANISTER. IF YOUR CANISTER IS GONE OR YOU MAKE IT GONE, I'LL SHOW YOU THE WAY MINE VENTS.

BLOW ALL YOU WANT, DOWN THE FUEL LINE TOWARDS THE TANK. MIGHT TAKE OFF THE GAS CAP

HOPEFULLY YOUR "DIP TUBE" IS NOT BROKE OFF OR THE SCREEN (SOCK) ON IT, IS NOT CAKED WITH CRAP.

IF YOU DO DROP THE TANK, BE PREPARED TO GET A NEW ONE. THE PLASTIC SHIELDS AND STRAPS HOLD SAND AND DIRT. WHEN THEY GET WET, THEY STAY WET AND YOUR TANK USUALLY RUSTS THRU. SORRY! LAST TIME I DROPPED MINE IT WAS CLOSE! I WENT AHEAD AND UPGRADED TO A 21 GALLON POLYETHYLENE TANK. DON'T HAVE TO STOP AT THE GAS STATION AS MUCH. THAT WAS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO.I SEE NO SIGNS OF RUST ON THE PLASTIC TANK!---NONE ON "WILLY" EITHER! I PUT A FIBERGLASS BODY ON HIM, BIG TIME CHEAPER/ LIGHTER/ QUIETER/ NO IRON OXIDE!

HOW ARE WE PROGRESSING?

Yes I did get your message. Didn't see it until you said something about it. I tried to blow through the fuel line going to my tank but got nothing. So it is either clogged up or I was hoping there was a valve in there that was keeping me from blowing air back to the tank. Any suggestions on unclogging fuel lines?

I know my pump is still good because it was pumping gas last week.

I am going to hook up a temp gas tank when I get home just so I can drive down the street. Once I get that feeling, I won't have any problem dumping money into it.

What did you mean by my jeep was a "6?" I won't ask what a 1-5 is though lol
Looks like you're jeep started off a little worse than mine. Maybe a lot worse. Did it have much rust on it when you got it? Looks great now though so that gives me good hope. Will update you on progress once I get home and attempt to drive it.
