I recently bought a 1973 F100. I removed the bed and discovered that there is a manufactured hole in the top center of the fuel tank about 1 1/4" in dia. It was covered with tape. There are no apparent means of attaching anything there. The fuel line, fume recirculator line and fuel gage sender are on the front end of the tank. What is the purpose of this hole and what should be in it?
Thanks
