1: Thank you very much for creating this website. It is an excellent resource for someone who wants to learn more about car repairs maintenance. Especially, when I am either trying to "DIY" or decide whether or not it is time to call-in-the experts and take it to the repair shop.

Thanks again, Lara

2. Boy, am I glad your site is here to use. Now that I know that I can look through your site and see how to do a repair, I can save myself the trouble of being ripped off which has happened to me more than once. Thanks guys!

-----------------------------------------

3. Thank you for all for your expert advice. I recently followed your video on how to change brake pads and rotors on a FWD car. The video is awesome and made the directions simple to follow. Thank you again, I will return to this website very often.

-----------------------------------------

4. I appreciate the effort and the integrity to refund my money. I'll definitely check the site again if we have a car trouble :) ~Linda

5. Wow! you replied!...thanks!...ya I was really upset and went back the next morning and I guess somehow it went back down,......it puzzled me,.....because we kept checking it and checking it the night before and it showed a considerable amount of excess,......and then bam its perfect. It’s got me interested,... even now how many times I’ve allowed an oil change and they added too much or something,..I’ve never bothered checking,....in fact I think I’ll check it again tomorrow,.... I’m considering an oil change at my auto dealer and it will be interesting,.... My Acura manual advises against overflow with the only warning that 'it may damage' the engine... IM not real sure how to operate the forum you have,... please direct me,...sounds interesting,.. since cars are always an issue....... I’ll let you know more as I get the info! by the way,.. didn’t mean to sound so generalizing of all mechanics in the letter I wrote as if to also imply you guys might make the same mistake,.....I was very upset,.... but I’m learning to handle this,... I’ll probably end up looking for some kind of class to teach more about this stuff,....

6. I just read and used the information in your article about the engine idle speed after replacing the battery in your car. It worked great, and saved us a huge hassle of taking the car into the shop. THANK YOU so much, I will using your website from now on.

-----------------------------------------

7. Hi, Thank you for all your info. Right now I can get cool and cold air by finely adjusting the temperature selector without hearing the shuddering sounds. A fraction one way or another and it's noisy again. Can't get heat but right now don't need it. Clearly I have get it put right but when I do I will remember all your advice and at least know what I am talking about and what to expect. Knowing this much gives me some comfort and again, my sincere thanks.

8. You know Mike I am going to spread your web-site around to people I know. Let me tell why: I had an oil leak in my Camry. I took in to have it checked out. And I was told that it’s my cam-seal and real crank seal and they said while you doing this work you have to replace the water pump. And one person said that he had replace the crank seal but then the trans seal was leaking and the distribute was leaking. That's why I asked about the real main seal--whether or not one needs to drop the trans. I believe that I was over charged. However, I am happy to support your web-site because people are not truthful when it comes to your car.

9. Thanks ,You guys know your stuff , I replaced all of the vacuum lines , AC works great and the air blows where its supposed too .

Thanks again, Ken

11. Thanks for the reply and the direction, the 83 year old lady had it shop diagnosed and they said crank angle sensor inside the distributor wanted to charge 500 bucks to change it so we towed it back and I changed it with no luck, they said after towing it back to them AGAIN that it was the coil, even after I tested it and the coil was receiving no signal to spark she insisted they were right and I had to put it in no luck again. in my diagnosis and discovery that it wasn’t receiving a signal to spark recommended an ignition module (oddly shaped and rather small) we got one and I installed it and low and behold wam bam started right up..............thanks again

12. Thank you Guys I had the book and as usual for a guy if all else fails read the manual YES it was the circuit breaker located to the right of the fuse C/b not labeled I just swapped with power windows and when whippets worked and windows didn't that was the one C/b $6.00

13. Just wanted to say thank you for the instructions on replacing the brake pads and rotors. I typically do my own work but came across a difficult brake job. The approach on your site was a bit different and helped me trouble shoot and resolve my problem. My pads would not set correctly which was due to one of my caliper slides being stuck. Again

thanks for the step by step repair guide with great illustrations!

-----------------------------------------

14. Thanks for the reply. My faith in humanity has been restored. I am checking this email today, May 17, 2009. I just never thought I would hear from anyone, so I am really glad to get your reply. Unfortunately, had I looked at this sooner, we could have come to some conclusion with the Dakota. We wound up buying a new alternator which solved the problem. My son is the owner of the Dakota, and he is completely of the same opinion on new cars as you are. He loves the older, less complicated vehicles. I don't think I will ever see him purchase a newer vehicle. He's 29 years old and buys nothing but 1980's vehicles. Some of them are in questionable shape, but their engines are sound, and they are a lot more fun to do repairs on.

Thanks again for sharing this information. I am printing it off should this problem occur again. It will come in handy I'm sure.

15. I just want to say thanks for your web page, It's very nice of you people to help others in this day and time. GOD bless David

16. Thank you so much for the video tutorials. I just changed my brake pads and rotors. The first one took me about 1 1/2 hours because I didn't have the right tools (hex bolt) but the second one took me 20 minutes. I referred to your video a couple of times during the process and it was a huge help. Thanks again.

17. Thank you so much for your help. I will pass this web site on to my friends.

18. I love this site. It is very informative; I can't believe the amount of detail and coverage that is provided.

-----------------------------------------

19. I would like to thank you for helping me repair my own car, I am not a professional mechanic but by reading and watching your videos gives me an advantage in case of trouble shooting and installed vehicle to minor repairs.

Thank you very much, Emir

20. I just wanted to thank all at 2carpros for their help. I received an answer to my question in just a very short time.

22. Thank you for the free offer but I did manage to figure it out. I have a 2000 Granprix GT and i wanted to change the rear speakers. I don't know if my way was right but I ended up taking the whole back seat out to get the rear deck cover off. It sure isn’t like it used to be back in the day you could put them in from under the rear deck via the trunk. Thank you any way for your attention to this little matter. I will definitely put you in my favorites !!!

23. As a woman who knows only a little about cars, I am often uncertain about whether or not charges are fair. I feel pretty good about the mechanic I go to but when I took the car in for an oil change last week I never expected to hear that I needed brakes. I haven't noticed noise or grabbing... but, again, I don't know that much. I'll make a donation the next time I have a question. I was informed a week ago I'm being laid off so am cinching the belt in and trying to prepare for some lean times. This has been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much. Very kind of you. Also, thanks for the sympathy re my job... Tough times for so many. I'm working on finding something already although my official end is in June.

Thank you again! Caroline

24. Thank you for the site. I needed to replace the rear rotors and brake pads on my VW and your illustrations and step by step process made it a snap. I appreciate your Help.

25. Thank you for your quick reply. I was afraid of that. Will be coming to you for other car questions as they arise. Thanks again, Patricia

26. Thanks a lot for the handy advice and general instructions for everything from brakes to various fluid changes and beyond. I am easily saving scads of cash by not ever having to take my 05' Silverado 1500HD into the shop for work.

Thanks again, ~Maxwell

27. I was very hesitant to use your service, especially because a donation was suggested. Then when the fix for my truck was so simple my doubts were confirmed in my mind. But actually your right , the simplest solution sometimes can be overlooked but ,especially so when you're trying to walk some else through a problem. Your kind way of handling my complaint has caused me to realize that your company is legitimate. I'm a try to fix it yourself first type person and I can assure you that I will be calling again. I've had this 91 Ford 250 for a month and it's a good truck but there are some things needing work. I do humbly apologize for my lack of trust. Have a great day and I look forward to using your company. Best Regards, Glenn

28. MIKE I FINALLY FOUND A REPAIR SHOP THAT SCANNED THE ABS SYSTEM AND FOUND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE IS BAD, WHICH HAS TO BE HANDLED BY THE BUICK DEALER AS IT HAS TO BE PROGRAMMED ONCE THE MODULE IS REPLACED. I HAVE MADE A APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THAT SERVICE PERFORMED. THE MODULE IS READILY REPLACED BUT IT HAS TO BE PROGRAMMED WHICH TAKES LONGER THAN THE REPLACEMENT .THE PART COST $310.00 WITH THE LABOR THE WHOLE PROCESS TAKES 1 1/2 HRS AND TOTAL COST $455.00. I THOUGHT THE FEEDBACK MIGHT HELP WITH SOME FUTURE INTEREST IN SIMILAR PROBLEMS. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOU COMPETENT HELP. WILLIAM

29. The forum answered my question about resetting my alarm system on my Nissan X-Tera and saved me a wrecker and a dealer bill I am extremely happy with your service.

30. I asked a question about my 2002 Ford Taurus on March 4th. I just wanted to say Thank You for your response and let you know that my husband had my starter rebuilt and my Taurus is running great. I hope to keep it on the road forever, because no car payment is a great!!!! Thanks Again!!

-----------------------------------------

31. Thank you very much my car runs fine now...K.C.

-----------------------------------------

32. Thanks. I figured out, is a magnetic speed sensor. I changed the O Ring to the old one works perfect. Thank you. The Chevrolet service technician asked me for 78.98 to do that. I only spent $35.00 on the VSS.

-----------------------------------------

33. I just wanted to thank you for your outstanding self help on changing a window regulator. I've never even see the inside of my car door before but with your guidance I was able to install a new regulator and save myself a few hundred dollars! The work was easy and I feel a great sense on accomplishment for doing the job myself. Everything works great and I am confident that the work was done properly. I will certainly frequent your site in the future for any of my automotive needs!!

Thanks again!!

-----------------------------------------

34. Great idea. I will make sure to add the dealership to this list. They also told me that my car didn't have any recalls, but when I looked online, there were about four recalls for my vehicle. Another deception. They also charged me 167.00 for the heater motor, when I could have bought it myself for around 42.00 to $80. I am writing to the CEO of GM and let him know how I don’t like to charged from something not needed and give him the address and phone number of this business and will demand a refund. Usually works if you go to the top. I want to thank you again for all your help and if anything (hopefully not) happens to my vehicle, I will make sure that I contact you first. Thanks again and have a great day.

35. Thanks!!! that answer has been wonderfully helpful. respectfully, doc

39. Thank you so much I tried calling our local auto parts stores and never got an answer and one told me I had to take it to the dealership I was surprised with the quick response and I will continue to use your website in the future for any questions I may have and now that I know how well it works I will donate next time thanks again :)

-----------------------------------------

40. Thanks for your help. The next time I will try to make a small donation. Aaron

-----------------------------------------

41. I just wanted to thank you for your web site and information. I haven't had to work on a car for about ten years. I have replaced front brake pads before but when I did it I thought I had to open the system to compress the brake piston thus having to bleed the brakes, etc. I'd forgotten how to do the brake change so I looked up your site and as a result was able to change both sets of pads and put everything back together in a very short time with almost no hassles. Thank you:)

-----------------------------------------

42. Thank you for the reply, I think it’s a pretty cool website! Thanks again!

-----------------------------------------

43. I came on a little strong after I thought about it. You were one of many sites that seem to be offering free help for a seemingly simple answer. I was just frustrated and took it out on you guys I apologize. The fact that you will post my free question on a forum for a possible answer proves me wrong.

-----------------------------------------

44. Hey thanks you guys for responding not only about the car, but also guiding me in how to use this damn computer,......I'll look more into engine mounts and get back to ya,....thanks......Jody

-----------------------------------------

45. Guys, I want to congratulate you for this website. since the first moment I discovered it, I cannot stop visiting it. I can see a lot of improvement as well. There is more details on how to do things compare to before also I like how you group things together. my favorite part is the video section. I am a beginner do it yourself mechanic and learn a lot in this website.

-----------------------------------------

46. Okay now that is an answer that I can use, so now my question is where to send the donations?

-----------------------------------------

47. Just wanted to say Thank You for your site. It was a big help for me .finally got a picture I could use to route my belt on a 99 cavalier.

Thanks again, Steve

-----------------------------------------

48. Just wanted to say thanks for the advice on how to change out the rotors and brake pads- I was able to do it alone and save the money by doing it myself. You guys are great- keep up the good work.

-----------------------------------------

49. Just finished looking at the instructions for changing a fuel filter on my 1994 Jeep 4x4 Cherokee. My husband is unable (due to a recent back surgery) to do any further car work on our vehicles. So, being raised on a farm and basic car knowledge will have to take effect again (Time to teach my own daughters). Thank you for the step by step instructions. Your sight is a true "gift" to everyone. I just paid $13 for JUST ASK.com for confirmation of my car question. You didn't charge a dime.

-----------------------------------------

50. You guys are great to deal with.

-----------------------------------------

51. Ty mike, and just so you know your site does have a lot of good info on it. This is the first time I have used or been on your site, but seeing as I am a fix it myself kind of guy I am sure you will be getting more questions from me. Thanks again Mike have a good day.

-----------------------------------------

52. Hi, Mike. I agree with you; the truck only has 150,000 miles on it, so I have trouble believing the rear main is the oil leak problem. But I will have to have someone check the gaskets as I am not a mechanic. I will let you know what I find out. Thanks again for your help and support! I appreciate it. You are part of a very knowledgeable group! I really appreciate the help; and I will keep your site for future reference.

Sincerely, Okie.

-----------------------------------------

53. Many thanks for the spot on diagnosis of the annoying problems with the dome light and chime in my 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier! I pulled the driver's side door jamb switch and unplugged the two prong connector. The inside of the socket receptacle was very wet despite the pleated rubber seal. I sprayed it with WD-40, dried it carefully and replaced it. To my great satisfaction the dome light now works perfectly, fades out nicely with the timed delay and the chime is silent with the key in the accessory position.

Other than the modest donation I made, the actual cost of the repair was zero. If I had taken the car to a GM dealer, I would have been handed a hefty bill. Your expertise was very much appreciated!

-----------------------------------------

54. Thank you both for your informative site. Although I did not inquire exactly as to which car it is I own, (1992 Oldsmobile Silhouette) I found that the information you provided seemed to be (almost) standard very thorough, informative and presented in a very professional way! In other words your standard advice should work on my vehicle. Everything I watched (on front disk brake replacement) was exactly what I thought as far as a how to do, but I just wanted confirmation and affirmation as to what you showed in your video as well as pictures. It was everything I would have naturally done or how I would have approached the job, had I not viewed your video or been to your site. I want to be very safe, positively re-assured I know what I am doing when it comes to something as important as a brake job, for lives are at stake! Anyway, it took me & three (3) others literally seven (7) hours of surfing to come up and upon your web-site. Yours was the only site that had the information (and heaps more) available for FREE.

You guys rock!!! You really do!!! You've done what not one other mechanic or web-site both I and three others visited in seven (7) hours of surfing on

the www. You both deserve a medal, or maybe your own nationally (or internationally) syndicated show/program!! You have my vote!!!

Most sincerely!!! Patricia

-----------------------------------------

55. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE INFORMATION! YOU HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL! WE WILL LET YOU KNOW THE OUTCOME.

THANKS AGAIN!

-----------------------------------------

56. Thanks very much for your courtesies. I'll save the website and my username, I'm sure I’ll have reason to use your services again.

David

-----------------------------------------

57. Again I would like to say that this is a site you can truly appreciate. Very helpful.

-----------------------------------------

58. It's really amazing what you guys are doing with this web site! I looked all over the web for help and you were the only site that I found that was willing to help with auto questions that wasn't trying to charge you an arm and a leg! Thanks for your help I will refer you to all my friends!

-----------------------------------------

59. I do thank you for your kind, and timely response. Kinda surprised... I am kind of an old farm boy (60). A shade tree mechanic..Good at 57 chevy type cars but these new brain things??? I am as lost as I am with my kids...LOL. Thank You again... Sincerely...Jim

-----------------------------------------

60. I've looked at your site a couple times and I must say it's a great one! Very informative with lots and lots of info about cars that other sites simply don't have. The pictures you've included are also very helpful and interesting. I'm an automotive enthusiast who enjoys learning about how vehicles work and discussing technical issues pertaining to them. I also enjoy learning how to troubleshoot them; what to look, listen, feel and smell for when evaluating a vehicle. I'm sure I'll refer back to your site again and again. Good luck with your site!

-----------------------------------------

61. Thanks for your quick response, all set.

Regards, Ray

-----------------------------------------

62. Yeah, I played around a little more with it and figured it out.

Thanks. And thanks for the site, it is very useful. I will donate again.

Paul.

-----------------------------------------

63. Thanks for your response. It's refreshing when a company that provides an e-mail question service actually provides an answer, especially from a human with an actual name.

Thanks for the information.

-----------------------------------------

64. I appreciate the good work you guys do. I'll continue to use your service and refer you to others.

Have a good week, Mike

65. Just wanted to give an Honorable mention to this site and its creators and helpful participating Mechanical Technicians. It is a dynamite site with great help to people in need of " honest and caring experienced knowledge and factual guidance " !! You folks have my utmost appreciation and respect !! MIKE, IT WAS MY LUCK TO FIND YOUR SITE AND YOU CAN PUT MY LAST REPLY IN YOUR TESTIMONIALS FOR OTHERS TO READ AND SEE THAT THEY HAVE COME TO THE " RIGHT 2 CAR PROS " !! UNSURPASSED IN A TOP SITE !

THANKS, BOB

-----------------------------------------

66. You guys are great. I totally LOVE this concept. I tried a question (didn't donate) this time ... thought I might have a better idea of how you do things around here if I tried from bottom. Answer or not, I spent a couple hours in and out of your pages trying to find it myself first ... was given enough direction to try some things ... I definitely intend to support this site any way I can. Make it a great day. You helped mine lots!

-----------------------------------------

67. This web service is a great idea. With the complexity of today's vehicles...the average wrench guy cannot keep up with the technologies need for diagnosing and repairing "trouble codes." Thanks for building a much needed service.

Phil

-----------------------------------------

68. I want to thank this site for so much useful information. I know a little about car anyway because of all the repairs I've had done and talking to men all the time about cars, but your free info is a life saver.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY PURSE!!!!!!!!!!!

-----------------------------------------

69. I wanted to write a quick note to thank you for helping me fix my own car! Your Fuse page gave me the clue that I needed to identify a faulty circuit that was draining power from my battery while my car was OFF. It turned out to be the (already nonfunctional) power sunroof. Using a test light to check the fuses one-by-one with the car off helped me find it. I’ve yanked the fuse & anticipate no more issues. I bet someone would have been thrilled to charge me hundreds of dollars to do that for me.

THANK YOU! Kim

-----------------------------------------

70. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. I passed the smog, whoopee.

-----------------------------------------

71. Thanks for a very well done web site. Lots of great information.

Thanks for your help.

-----------------------------------------

72. Thank you for this information. I tried a smaller belt and it worked . J

-----------------------------------------

73.Many thanks for your 'Welcome' email and probably more importantly the link to get the reply that Mark (mhpautos), was good enough to post. As you can probably tell, I am fairly new to computers and know nothing about blogs at all. Hence after I posted the Q, I was unsure if I could work out how to get to any replies!!, so the link is greatly appreciated. If I can work out how to do it, I will thank Mark for his reply.I wont be answering any questions as I am not a mechanic and only have basic knowledge. I am about to head of for a few weeks holidays but will try and make a donation if only small ,when I get back.Your site is terrific, I was lucky enough to find it by doing a google on a/cond. My keyboard speed is painfully slow, so many thanks again and enjoy the festive season and keep up the good work!!! Thanks, Gavin

-----------------------------------------

74. I am very impressed by your excellent web site. So many are full of ads and no information. The layout of the menus and links are easy and time saving.

Thanks, Daniel

-----------------------------------------

75. You have been very very helpful to me and my family. We wish to make a donation to help with your cost of keeping this site running for free. Whom do I make the check out to? And is the 4420 E. Miraloma Ave., #L Anaheim, CA 92807 the address where I send it to?

Thank you so very much, Dave

-----------------------------------------

76. Hi Guys, Thanks for the great information

-----------------------------------------

77. Thanks for your assistance. Your suggestion may have saved me $1100 for another engine.

-----------------------------------------

78. I felt lucky that I could happen to meet such professional website as 2carpros since now I had achieved great knowledge from your website, practical and useful to me, I am a Chinese mechanic and I learned English by myself during my idle time. I want to study abroad someday to enlarge my knowledge. These days I have been learning professional auto terms from your website. I appreciate u very much.

-----------------------------------------

79. Hey guys, I google’d DTC's for my TransAm and your website came up. Just wanted to say Thank You for your online list of the DTC's. It helps when you can crosscheck your local dealer how honest he is...

Great job, Bob and Ken.

Thanks again, Ralf

-----------------------------------------

80. Thanks, guys, for running a great; no-nonsense, helpful site. Truly a gift; even for those who just want trustworthy, solid info before turning over their truck to "the pros" for service. --cp

81. This testimonial is from a user and one of our Experts

I realize how hard you have worked on this site and I thought you would appreciate what a customer said to me.

He didn't have money to make a donation and felt bad. So I suggested rather than a donation, that he tell friends, family... about the site so we could get positive advertisement and hopefully customers that could make donations. Here is his final posting to me. I think that paragraph one says a lot about you and your efforts. Great job, Ken. It says a lot about you and what a great job you have done.

I have already been spreading the word. A few friends of mine have been having car issues, and I have seen these sites before, but never seen one so well put together and with so much help to be had. I will keep spreading the word.

Also, as soon as I can make sure this issues is resolved and I will have transportation I can rely on at least to get my through my master's program, I will be glad to donate. It may not be much, but I will do what I can. Thanks so much for everything, and I will keep you up to date.

Thus far, the MAF actually seems like it may have done the trick. But I am not hoping for too much. Though I have no felt much jerking or loss of speed, I've been afraid to really go out and test it, and the though the trouble code for the P0171 lean code hasn't come back yet, it has stayed off for a day or two before (since I make small trips to work and school). I will update you again tomorrow. Lets hope for the best! Thanks so much Joe!
