Question: 1998 Honda Accord mileage: 60,000.  My question is very simple, I don't have a repair book for my car and I need to know what the firing order for the cylinders are, so I can put in some new spark plug wires.   Thank you.

Answer: It is not necessary to know the firing order.  Just replace one spark plug wire at a time and you will be okay.



Question: 2001 GMC Jimmy s-15 mileage: 60,000.  Can you tell me the firing order on a GMC V-6 and how the cylinders are numbered?

Answer:  Firing order is 123456.  Number one cylinder is right front, number three middle right, number five last on right.  Number two left front etc.


Question: 1998 Chevrolet Caviler mileage: 60,000.  What is the firing order for the spark plugs on this car?

Answer:  The firing order for a 3.1-liter engine is 165432 and for a 2.2-liter, it is 1423.


Question: 1999 Nissan, pickup. While changing my spark plug wires, I accidentally knocked off the wires on the distributor cap and do not have a wire diagram to replace them. Although it is a 4 cyl., it has 8 wires. Can you help me find the right sequence?

Answer: The distributor rotates counter clockwise. There is a reference to intake side and exhaust side: 2i for cylinder #2 intake side and 2e for exhaust side. Starting from the top and going counter clockwise: 2i, 4e 1i, 2e, 3i, 1e, 4i, and 3e.
