this has happened in the past. I thought it was battery and or the starter and replaced both. things have been fine until yesterday I tried and it turned over and I thought it would start but no. I tried again and it backfired through the throttle body its a 5.7 v8 . It turned over hard and the lights dimmed and I was thinking short. don't know what to look for after making the changes. ECU? looking for help. This is a wonderful truck and it starts always with just a touch of the key. Bang running. any starting ideas?
Thanks mike Madaus

try resetting your anti theft, turn key on and leave for up to 10 minutes until security light goes out, do that 3 times in a row then turn key off and try to start. otherwilse scan for codes and check fuelpressure first. fp should be 60-66 psi
