Will not start from time to time

Once and a while my car won't start. When I turn the key there's no noise or nothing. All of the lights work besides the ones on the dash. The windows only roll down if the key is turned backwards. If I put the car in neutral and then push it backwards it starts right up. But in order to put it in neutral I have to push the white button in because it's stuck in park. It hasn't happened in a week and a half or so, and I don't know when it'll happen again! Please help me. Thanks!

Where would I find a local pro in St. Paul MN? Would it cost much? I was recently laid off so I'm pretty low on funds. Thanks

I'm sure there are plenty of repair shops there for a local guy to look at it. Make sure to check fuses underhood and if you find one with corrosion put it in and out of fuse to clean the corrosion as that may be your problem as well. Ost places will give you an estimate of repairs prior to doing work.

Okay Thank You. I did call a local auto shop and he said it was the floor shifter. My dad said it might be the fly wheel.

Go with what the mechanic told you it'snot engaging the shift interlock or it's the switch. Not the flywheel.
