WHEN DOES MEMORY RESET AFTER A FIX?
2006 Nissan Altima
I need to do emissions test. My car (2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 S) has light engine on. I know I cant bring for emissions test until the light is fixed, as the test will say "Car not ready". I went to the dealer to find out why the light is on and the code came on as Crank Shaft Sensor. I got the dealership to replace Crank Shaft Sensor AND Cam Shaft Sensor. (They said both of the sensors must be replaced). After they replaced it, obviously they reset the engine light, and it has been almost a week and the light hasnt come back yet (not that it should, but you never know). Anyway my question is When should I go to do emissions test? Anytime or give it few days? Few weeks? For the memory to reset? I usually drive 20 km a day.
