2004 Volvo XC70 Inner steering arm replacement

I am installing a inner steering arm (inner track rod or tighe rod end). What is the tightening torque for the inner steering arm to steering gear?

Hello –

I believe this is what you are looking for.

Installing Control Arms & Track Rods (Both Sides)
Raise the wheel bearing housing so that the hole for the control arm in the bearing housing and rear axle member is horizontal.
Install:
• the control arm with new M12 screws. Tighten
• the tie rod to the wheel bearing housing. Use new lock nuts, M12. Tighten
• the parking brake cable in the bracket on the tie rod and in its mountings in the lower cover. Tighten. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

Hello –

Also, it looks like you may have a recall on your vehicle. The dealer may fix this for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on this to see if they apply to you.
