Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Volvo S90 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 168000 miles

I have in the past jump started this auto. I tried yesterday and my alarm system came on but it would not start. What am I doing wrong?

I have since replaced the battery with a new on and the alarm system engages as soon as I turn the key?

Help!
