1980 Volvo S80
I have a 2001 S80 turbo with 95000 miles on it and while drive the car stalls. I have taken it to the dealer and there is no codes in computer. It stalled on them but couldnt find trouble. I have read many topics about the stalls and sounds to me like its the ETM unit that volvo extended the waranty for the defect. But with out the computer codes the dealer wont change ETM out. I noticed the fuel filter had never been changes or at least the masking tape was still on it. Which one of the blogs says if you find tape then it was never changed and it was a VOLVO part. So I installed a new one. Im sure it wil stall again just waiting for it to happen. Mean time im going to different dealer well that is what VOLVO DIRECT told me to do. Any ideas on this fix would greatly help. For this car is my sons.
