P.c.v. oiltrap
Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Volvo S80 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 205000 miles
My car is a turbo I am trying to locate the pcv oiltrap so I can clear the hoses going to it and clean the trap itself. My emmision lwarning code stays on and I'm pretty sure the crankcase needs to be ventilated. Can you give me a picture or description of where it is located in relation to the front of the car and what hoses go to it. Second question is what function does the Evap Cannister purge valve have. Can it be cleaned? Thanks Guys! Pat

The oil trap is located under the intake manifold attached to the block right side. You should really have your vehicle diagnose first to see why the light is on. And as for the purge valve no you can not clean that out?
