Steering problem
1998 Volvo S70 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 170000 miles

I was rear ended and had the car repaired - the car now seems to pull to the right - should the car be aligned? Is this typically done after accidents? The whole rear bumper was knocked under the vehicle and there was a slight collapse in each of the rear trunk side panels. I just put new tires on before the accident and I don't want to run them down unnecessarily.
Thanks

If it damaged the rear axle or moved it at all you will probably need an alightnment, the rear end can be twisted one way and that ends up propeling the car one way, it can have just as much affect as a bad front end alignment.
