I was replacing the low beam headlight lamp and now the ignition key will not turn past the first position. I'm not sure but for some reason I may have shorted out the Immobilizer (start inibitor). (This is just a guess) As a result, I can not put the car in neutral should I need to have it towed.

Please advise.

Do you have a spare key you can try? If you do and you still have a problem you either have a problem with the shift lock cable or your column lock just happened to have failed and you will need to replace it. If you had a problem with your immobolizer your vehicle would still crank but not start.
