My Volvo has been to the shop at least three times and each time the alternator has been replaced. It only lasts for a few hours before it dies again. The shop keeps saying that it's the alternator and has been trying to find parts again and again, but because the car is so old it's getting harder and harder to find them. Could there be something else causing the alternator to keep breaking? Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.
